Shri Nitamaa

Shri Nitamaa (Shukladevya Amba) was born 03/02/1959 in Mombassa Kenya. She is the youngest of Shri Devi Ba and Shri Shivguruji's 3 children, Shri Urvashibaa, Shri Kiritbhai & Shri Nitamaa were initiated into Shri Vidya at the age of 13 by Shri Guru Devshankar Trivedi. 


Shri Nitamaa has done numerous anushtaans and after the demise of her parents she headed the Shri Vidya Upasna Mandal UK. Given Purnadiksha by Sanand Gurudev, Her continuous guidance and passion of Shri Vidya has prepared many good upasakas (disciples) in UK and India and continues the Shri Vidya Jyotir Dharo.

Shri Nitamaa currently splits her time between the actively running the Peetham in Kadi and the UK / North America.  Spreading the divine wisdom of Shri Vidya across the world.

Born on February 3, 1959, in Mombasa, Kenya, Sri Nitamaa, also known as Sri Shukladevya Amba, is the youngest of Sri DevÄ« Ba and Sri Shivguruji’s children. Raised in a family steeped in spirituality, she was initiated into Sri Vidya at the age of 13, under the guidance of the venerable Sri Devshankar TrivedÄ«. After her marriage to Sri Maheshkumar Vyas, she moved to London, where she became an important figure in propagating Sri Vidya. Following her parents' passing, Sri Nitamaa took on the responsibility of heading the Sri Vidya Upasana Mandala in the UK, continuing her family’s legacy abroad.

 

Sri Nitamaa’s dedication to the path is unwavering, as she tirelessly oversees the daily pujas, lakshacaranas (chants of 100,000 repetitions), and the adornment of the Divine murti, Mataji, at the Peetham. She has also completed over a thousand Durga pujas within the Peetham, embodying the Goddess’s protective and nurturing energies. Her presence is indispensable to the functioning of the Peetham; she is its backbone, overseeing every detail with a blend of devotion, precision and motherly care.

 

Aside from her spiritual responsibilities, Sri Nitama also manages the Balamandir, a non-profit school for underprivileged children. She ensures that the children receive nourishing meals, quality education, books, and uniforms, providing them with a foundation rooted in compassion and care. Her contributions extend to animal welfare, having established a gaushala (cow sanctuary) that ensures the protection and care of both male and female cows, reflecting her dedication to holistic dharma and her profound respect for all life.

 

Sri Nitamaa’s presence reaches beyond India, guiding numerous disciples in Australia, the UK, the USA, and Canada. Her students rely on her guidance for both the intricacies of ritual and the deeper philosophy of Sri Vidya, and she continues to nurture and sustain this sacred lineage across the globe.

 

Living Embodiments of Divine Femininity and Stewards of Sri Vidya Tradition

 

Together, Sri Urvashiba and Sri Nitamaa have become pillars of the Kadi Sri Vidya Peeham, each embodying distinct aspects of the Divine feminine while uniting in their mission to uphold, preserve, and propagate Sri Vidya. Their work goes beyond ritual instruction, touching the hearts of their disciples and instilling within them a profound reverence for the Goddess and the practices that honour her. They are seen as living embodiments of Sri Twarita Amba and Sri Shukladevya Amba, two aspects of Åšakti that radiate both compassion and strength.

 

The sisters’ efforts have ensured that Kadi Sri Vidya Peetham remains a dynamic centre of spiritual learning and practise, a sanctuary where seekers can immerse themselves in the Goddess’s grace. They carry forth the torch of Sri Vidya, illuminating the way for countless others, securing a legacy that transcends time and place. Through their work, they have created a bridge from the sacred past into the evolving present, ensuring that the wisdom of Sri Vidya remains alive and accessible to all who are ready to walk its sacred path.
